How it works
Setting up SSL with Framer is simple and requires no extra steps on your end. Once you connect your custom domain and update your DNS settings, Framer takes care of certificate generation and renewal automatically. Here’s what you need to do:
Create and publish your project in Framer.
Add your registered custom domain to the published project.
Update your DNS settings with your domain registrar to point to Framer.
Once the DNS changes take effect, Framer generates and manages your SSL certificate.
Framer uses multiple Certificate Authorities (CAs) to generate SSL certificates, such as Let’s Encrypt, Google Trust Services or ZeroSSL.
If your DNS settings include CAA records, ensure these CAs are allowed to issue and renew certificates for your site:
